So Beckham is coming to the States. Good thing or bad thing? Maybe a little from column A and a little from column B.
I'm not sure why hte Galaxy want him. they already have a national team captain at center mid who disappears for large portions of games.
I'm afraid that the MLS will become like the old NASL: a home for old broken down players from other countries. Becks is only 31, but he's played pro soccer for 15 years, been dropped from his national team, and been in a pretty steady declline ever since he left Man Utd. for Real Madrid.
On the plus side: he is Beckham. For most of a game he's more or less inviisible, but when it comes to set plays--oh Baby! The man can work magic. He can make the ball do amazing things. Hopefully that will be enough to draw folks to the games.
Who knows.
On an entirely different note: at 7:15 am Thursday morning the POOL TABLE was delivered!!! Now we need to finish cleaning up that room so we can set it up.
