Right so yes, stuffage, yhupyup of the most bodacious kind too whoop :D
There's a chap who comes into Video Box a lot, and I talk to him a fair bit, he's a dead nice guy but he does tend to shout quite a lot - more on that later.
He works for Pinewood studios in London as an effects engineer - setting charges for explosions and what not. I mentioned off handedly that I want to get into the industry and I've done a couple of courses at college, made a few films and had a few shown around the city etc. He then basically put my future on a plate in front of me and said 'they ya go chap' - he reckons there are so many homegrowns at pinewood willing to pay untried cameramen monkeyfeed (in comparison to the norm - but still around 200 pounds a day) due to low budgets etc. He said to get a bunch of cards printed and he'd hand them out at pinewood and talk to some of his mates. Apparant;y he's got a mate who does just this, and he doesn't have time to do all the work he gets offered! PLUS He's offered to basically sponsor me for membership at pinewood, means I can get access to the studios (I get a membership card ^_^) - meaning I can basically wander around and rub shouldrs with some people. And I get access to the cinemas up there for screenings and what not. AAAAHH!!
So the last 24 hours has been spent in a state of giddy joy :D And sleeping. And talking to Rhi <3<3 :D
And making business cards :D

Oh he also said as long as I had no moral objections doing it, I could easily get work every day for the rest of my life just being cameraman on what he called 'naughty' films. Sooz thought this was hilarious but still. I would have nothing to do with what was going on, the director would have full control of what I was doing (zoom in, zoom out, get over there, no what are you doing over there, get over THERE') and what not. *shrugs* work is work and the money is apparantly even better. We shall have to wait and see :D But yeah, my cards are coming in the post soonio and I'm kinda RIDICULOUSLY excited :D
