Life on the Frozen Tundra

Saturday morning I drove back into Manhattan, just made it to the Blue Water Grill in time for my brunch, then wandered around Union Square for a bit, and hung out with friends, went to one of the Christmas parties that day, but stopped by the apartment in between-wow, I so forgot how awesome the views of the Empire State Building are from the apartment.  After the Christmas party I went to the Eagle, and was informed by a friend behind the bar that if I was only drinking water, he wasn't going to be talking to me the rest of the night-he relented, I had been drinking since 11am ish and had just started to sober up by the time I hit the Eagle and didn't want to get really schnockered.  Went back to the apartment and passed out.

Sunday afternoon, I drove back up to Saylorsburg and changed cars, then went back to Dickson for my younger brother and only had to spend one night, his doctor's appointment went well and he was cleared to resume his usual routine, so he drove back up, we traded cars, I went out again up there and drove back here and slept in my own bed for the first time.  I got back to Saylorsburg at about 330am, and parked the Expedition not where I usually park it but on the parking pad (our plow guy comes at weird times and it's easier for him to get more of the driveway cleared if we're on the pad and not in front of the garage doors).  Almost broke my neck staggering to the house.

Nothing looks real outside right now.  Everything is covered in a glossy, white sheet of ice.  It looks really awesome, but walking my pups is a bitch-especially when a rabbit or what have you bounces in front of the Bichon and she takes off to attack, which sends me and the Westie flying.  Not too much else is up, I am going to be in the city again for a few days, might even stay through the weekend.
