I straightened my room today. I skipped german to do so but the room is now straightened. It's not clean, but it is much much less messy. I still am sleeping on the floor because I'm using my bed as a place to put piles of clean clothes.
Although I feel bad about skipping German, we're going over the Present Perfect tense which I understood four or five classes ago. It seems as though I'm the only one in class that does not struggle with Grammar. That or the people that don't understand are the loudest.
Last night with Chemistry ClubAmerican Chemical Society we had a speaker that was really cool. He was 78 and grew up in England without parents. His life was very serendipitous. He just sort of fell into everything. It was really quite amazing. For instance when he had moved to America he was riding home on the bus and got off at the wrong stop. He then noticed a man tending to roses and he asked him for directions. Turns out this man that he asked for for directions was one of the top people in Liquid extraction and needed a mechanical engineer (which this guy was). The guy is now retired but still works and flies around all over the world going to chemical plants and helps them out with huge extraction columns. He also gets paid tons and tons of money. I would love to have his job, except for the fact that we works for companies are Union Carbide, Coke, etc. He was an exceedingly nice and down to earth man. His life seemed to have been something that you would have watched in a movie or read about in a book. The entire time he talked I wished I had had a tape recorder.
Well, I've got to run.
