We have some sunshine. It always cheers me up but it is forecasted not to last. I was amazed to find two CDs on the Raster Norton label, a bastion of avant-garde electronica, and in a charity shop, although Oxfam tend to have the best CDs if you are looking for secondhand out of the way stuff.

So, this is the other famous UK label for solid improv releases. Now that Martin Davidson has moved to Spain with the label new CD releases aren't going to be cheap. Ta, very much.

Anyway, I have three on that label in my collection with one I found in a chazzer for a quid. That is teh Free Base release.

Back in the nineties, I use to support a Sheffield based improv and experimental label called Discus run by Martin Archer, who ran a jazz band in the eighties called The Hornweb Trio.
