Transfers
It looks like summer didn't stay It is colder and overcast, and the threat of showers again. Where is the sunshine? It should be sunny now that Labour has ousted that moribund lot. Conservatism is dead in the water for now.
The one thing to note is that the former Prime Minister was gracious in defeat. Would Trump be so generous - I doubt it. The transfer of power here was smooth, with no barbed wires, no barricades, no angry mob saying that the results were false or stolen from them, and no storming of the parliamentary buildings.
Here democracy, in all its facades, still works and is currently safe from those who want to destroy it. Is that so clear in France, or more importantly, the USA? Time will tell, but I fear that the Democrats are in retreat. Biden should have stood down before the current campaign to let somebody much younger be their head honcho for the prize of being the next President.
