Yes, when someone threw out something they shouldn't have.
I read, use, & give them; as gifts to my family. Some of them; are or have funny recipes in them.

I have lots of cookbooks, and I have read each of them and made recipes from most of them. I had a whole bookcase full of cookbooks in my kitchen, but when the house got flooded by Superstorm Sandy, the books got soaked with dirty sea water and got all moldy, and I had to throw them away. Some of them were irreplaceable.
