This is a well researched and very personal biography of a disparate group. Every member and influence is mentioned, but due to the charm and personality of the front man, it becomes mono-focused, and the chance to see the group behaviour is lost. Which is a shame, as this is a remarkable group of individuals and a very fine group, despite their music in my opinion being a bit bland or twee.
