Dreamage
Haven't posted a dream illo in a while.
I dreamt that, near the end of WWII, when the American forces were low on resources, they made cardboard "costumes" of aircraft and paraded them around on the decks of their aircraft carriers to convince spying German boats and subs that we had more firepower than we really did.
At some point, one of them took off into battle. Despite being ridiculously underpowered (wait, what? they have engines???) one brave pilot engaged a nearby German bomber. He flew right past its nose. The bomber, in an attempt to avoid a collision, veered off course and crashed in the ocean.
