These pigs made the ultimate tasty, tasty sacrifice for our pleasure this weekend at the 120th Queen City Yacht Club Pig Roast.
Over 500 people showed up - the marina was packed by Friday afternoon and people had to moor first in the inner harbour and then in the outer harbour.

Much meat was had by all.
The following day, we headed home. Unfortunately, Southwind's motor tripped and broke a leg just as we were departing the dock. Considering the fresh winds, the closure of Humber Bay for the Arishow and the new requirement of making a journey (and, ultimately, docking) without use of a motor, I made a judgement call to not put any more people at risk than necessary. We sent the girls home on the ferry, while Rick and I sailed the boat home.
The fresh Easterly winds had us almost back to home harbour in less than an hour, puitting us three hours early for the Humber Bay to open after the Airshow. Nothing to do but wait -
- and beat up some waves.
I love this shot. Here's a wave that's tall enough to eclipse the horizon and most of a boat in the near distance.
And here's a 22.5 degree nose-up. That's one quarter of the way to vertical.
Wheeee!
Oh yeah. Also, we saw some of the Airshow.
As did much of water-borne Toronto.

Straight in out of the sun.
One of these birdies is not like the others...
A hornet does a low-speed tail-stand.
In all, it took us nine hours to get home. We made sure to tell the girls what a rough time we had...
