Little bit o' cottage downtown

Here's the Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club, for which I am currently awaiting application acceptance. It's really quaint, and it's right in the city (next to the Boulevard Club).

See there on the right is the deck with tables and the clubhouse with a bar. My mooring is out in the water; I take a water taxi out to it (or row out there myelf; it's about 30 yards).

What you don't get from the pic is how quiet and hidey-hole it is. Even though Lakeshore Blvd. is a hundred yards north of here, it can't be seen or heard. Lakeshore rises up fifty feet or so, and this little cove is tucked down below the bluff so it's isolated from the whole city thing. There are no cars here; parking is up above on the bluff.

It's like an itty-bit of Muskoka, transplanted to within 5 miles of home - close enough to bike to. I can see home from here, and I can see my boat from the park at the end of my street!
