We were stuck in a Very, Very Deep Pit From Which There Is No Possible Escape.
Not to be so easily defeated, Demo_Monkey (aka Cheesosaur) pulled out a bottle of "Pit Escape Pills".
Now, the pills don't actually work of course (because that would be, well, dumb)...
...but what they do do by their mere existence is demonstrate that there is a loophole in this Very, Very Deep Pit From Which There Is No Possible Escape, meaning we can, in fact, escape.
Which we promptly do.
