Who hasn't thought about awakening the Great Old Ones?
As a child, I was under the tutelage of Yog-Sothoth, the Lurker at the Threshold. I was shown many a secret with the creature who appeared to me as an amorphous mass of glowing orbs. Most importantly, I was shown how to traverse Time and Space. This is how I acquired Lucidor.
Or rather, how Lucidor acquired me.
Yog-Sothoth also told me of three Ancients previously unknown to me - but showed me only two. Three of a higher ilk than some of the others. They were Aolap, B'Metseat, and D'Sok.
Aolap appears harmless enough; a large all-seeing eye with two outstretched tentacles. Aolap is surrounded by a haze of glowing particles. They say he is the Creator.
B'Metseat is a mass of eyes. The placement of some of them make it appear as though he had a face, although there is no face to speak of. His numerous tentacles and appendages all have eyes on the end. He needs all of these eyes to see to the farthest reaches, where Aolap needs only one. They say he is the Overseer.
D'sok was not seen. Nor shall anyone see him until his reign begins. They say he is the Destroyer.
It was in D'Sok's realm that Lucidor found me. And it was there that he became part of me.
And it was good.
