Took a jaunty drive in search of books today, despite the impending snow storm and a generally fuck-off attitude toward the month. Found . . .
- A 1961 boxed set of Lawrence Durrell's "Alexandria Quartet"
- A collection of Situationist texts, "Beneath the Paving Stones"
- A 1920 Italian-Chinese dictionary written by a Catholic monsignor
- Violette Leduc's "La folie en tete", Sartre's "Les mouches", and Ionesco's "Les chaises" in French
- A 1963 "Poesias Escogidas", Spanish poetry anthology, brown and crisp of page
- Daniel J. Boorstin's "The Creators"
Then I spoiled myself and bought an Echo and the Bunnymen album.
Sent out over 60 Christmas cards this year, a record. Received 4.
