Red is a lovely colour is it not?

So assessments in full swing, we all sit in a hot-pot while pressure builds waiting for our week off! Hope everyone is going well with their short lit essay, mine is slowly building...I took this weekend "off" to attempt to do it but its quite difficult to find motivation at 9pm on a Saturday night, so amongst my mass procrastinations I wrote this little thing:

Tonight
with no input,
the night moves on.

Outside,
a call,
it moves on.

The cursor flashes
wall of white,
it won't progress tonight
no input,
tonight.

So for anyone else struggling for motivation, take heart! You are not alone.

Again im persevering with poetry - HEY! thanks to everyone who commented last week, a new record of 8! I was truely grateful and amazed, thank you!

So this poem is pretty dark I guess, themes are black, imagery is red, but the reasoning is wholesome...

For you my love, I return

The whip across my back,
splashes of life
lessons for all.

For you I return

Digging my own grave
to hold you again,
lessons unlearned.
A familiar sting of rulings from above,
another drop in the water

Red

the town will run,
my weapon your smile,
my shield your heart.

For you I return.

They tear my flesh
take my breath.

Red

I saw the river of red,
the examples they made of you.
An example i'll make of them.

I tear my flesh
take my breath

Sailing

Sweet river of death.

Wow-zers. I have to admit it's not purely about what you probably think it's about...

Write away!
