So today is August 19. Which to most people means nothing, but it means to me that it has been a year since I first moved to Washington. The past year has been a period of pretty intense change on pretty intense levels. A year ago, I was a lost college student who knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life and had no friends at his new school. Now, I'm a less-lost college student with friends and NO idea about what the future holds for him. I really really want to be a professor, but i dont know if that is what i want to jump into right away. it would be sweet to do some kind of field work in religion, like studying ancient manuscripts or digging in the Holy Land or Greece (ie being Indiana Jones) before i go to grad school. also, i think i wanna minor (along with Chemistry) in Classics or Geology, but not both. Ah well.
well...i really do not know where this post is going. at all. i really wish i could write a longish post about the effects of college on me at a personal level, but i also realize that no one really cares so...i'll leave you with my schedule.
CHEM 250A - Organic Chemistry MTTF (thanks Mel...bitch.) 8:00 - 8:50
CHEM 250EE - O Chem Lab Tues. 18:00 - 21:50
GRK 101A - Ancient Greek MWF 9:00 - 9:50; Tues 9:30 - 10:20
REL 233A - Japanese Religion MWF 14:00 - 14:50
REL 201A - History and Literature of the New Testament TuesThurs 14:00 - 15:20
Also, apparently the professor for Rel201 (Doug Edwards) does a summer archeology trip to Greece during the summer depending on interest/his health (he has cancer) for credit, but if thats offered next summer theres nothing stopping me from doing that ish up.
