The slow loss of music.
I am sitting here listening to Anthology, a NMA best-of compilation I picked up at Infest. It has made me realise how easy it is to forget about some songs. Ten years ago I was hearing a lot of NMA. Admittedly at the time I was out at nightclubs a couple of times a week, where they'd get a lot of play. I was always at the Christmas gig, and probably at any other one they would play that I could get to too.
I've got several of their albums, but still as I listen through the CD there ever so familiar songs (Such as Drag It Down, which has inspired this post) that I'm suddenly realising had mostly left my head. I know what is going onto the request list on the 10th in Oxford.
