Canon have just announced the 5D mark 3, which is sounding rather tempting.
The MP count has stayed where it is from the mark 2, but 22 is a lot so I don't think that should be much of an issue.
Important for me is the is the AF system, which has come from the 1D-X. This pretty much sells the camera to me. I usually lose the ability to focus at about the same time I'm losing my ability to get enough light with my 30D, and the 5D2 had essentially the same AF as the 30D.
The 5D2 is apparently staying in the product line, which is unusual
Big problem is the official launch pricing. We'll see how much that comes by the middle of the year I guess. Canon have been raising prices quite a bit recently with their new launches, which isn't so good. Radio controlled flashes are nice, but £680 for the new speedlight... Really Canon...
