5 minutes....

Just starting to watch Five minutes of heaven. Feels strange watching dramatisations of the troubles.

Edit: Glad that I watched it.

Heh I know what you mean but I also find it quite addictive - it's hearing the familiar accents for a start, and also a sense of wanting to see where they're filming in case it's real N.I. locations I know or grew up in!

James Nesbitt does seem to have cornered the market for dramatisations of N.I. life though .... I don't dislike him per se, but he does seem to pop up everywhere!

ps I haven't watched Five Minutes of Heaven yet, got it saved on my HDD for later in the week, but if you're glad you watched it, then I'll take that as a recommendation and be glad I recorded it!

It focussed on personal reactions and consequences, rather than dwelling on the political.

I grew up 8 miles from Lurgan, so it was just down the road for me. It is easier to spot places, given that NI is just so teeny!

hi! I was advised by karohemd that you would be the best person to ask about this. i have never bought a flash for my SLR before & need to get one, because I can't really take any good photos at events without one, twould seem :)
I have a Canon 400D - I need a flash that will fit onto the camera and is good for general event use (for example, if theres an event at a museum & I need to take photos of the guests) - what type of flash should i be looking for?
I havent yet read up on flashes, i thought it would be a good idea to ask you first, so I have a better idea of what im looking for :)
Thanks for any help you can give!

Hi there, first up, apologies for being really slow to reply. I seem to be miles behind in LJ-world ( ... )
