RIP blink-182 (1992-2005)
blink-182 have decided to go on "indefinite hiatus". The band that I have listened to and loved since I was 12 years old and in sixth grade (1996). The band that got me through high school and every other adolescent situation. The band that inspired me to even pick up a bass guitar and a guitar and learn how to play. The band that makes me want to be a rockstar. The band that everytime I listen to them, I feel like I'm 16 and in high school again. The band that is the best to see live and is the funniest and wackiest by far. No more blink-182. George, Dom, and Rich are just as bummed. I want to cry. Thank god I saw them live in a small club just once for only a buck and got Tom DeLonge's guitar pick. Rock on Tom, Mark, and Travis and please release just one more album.......
Hopefully it's not the end of this great dynasty of music, but if by some chance it turns out to be that way they had a great run. This band has been on my playlist ever since I've heard of them and will always be. They opened me up to so much more and although I only got to see them four times and every time they were great and hilarious, thats more than some people can say...and I even have one of Tom's guitar picks.
