One of my last posts was about the summer, and as far as I'm concerned, the summer for me has ended. I have taken the last vacation, and I have gone down to the shore one last time. This is it: one last year.
But - I don't want to say that this Summer is over, for it brought home MANY great memories and even more great people with it.
The Summer started great, honestly? I'll admit it, the thing I was looking forward to most was having my Mary back! She came back and we had a great time.
But the first great time was the annual Memorial Day weekend with Adam, and soon after was my first trip down to LBI, and the following weekend was Tiger's amazing win at the US Open.
The weekend of June 27-29th was amazing, it was the weekend of the Pearl Jam concert, which has to be up there as maybe one of my top moments this summer. Eddie was AMAZING!!!!! Also, this was the night I got to make Mary dinner (and she's still alive to talk about it)
The following weekend I went down and surprised Mary for the 4th of July :-) 'nuff said
The weekend of July 18 - 20th was just plain ridiculous. I mean, Adam came down a day early and Saturday was amazing, because we went to the beach and that kicked total ass, then we were watching Requiem when Kerri showed up, and clearly Projekt Revolution was one of the most amazing days ever (I feel like I'll be saying that a lot)
The rest of july was pretty calm, and then the weekend of August 8-10th came up which was great, Mary and I went to this radically cool Titanic exhibit, and the night before we watched the Olympics open. What made it funny was our desperation for finding a McDonald's and winding up with Mighty Kids Meals....oh that's so us.
The last great weekend was the one that just passed. I had a sick time at Mary's friends party....like we drank a lot and it was a nice change of pace. Then the day after I got to spend time with her family which was really cool to me since I never really had that experience, it was maybe one of the nicest things I've ever done. Then today we beached it and I got to see the Dark Knight again :-)
All in all it was a very eventful summer, highlighted by the two concerts, the Dark Knight and clearly: having Mary back.
Sad to see it go but...
Bring on the Fall and bring on my friends.
