Well now I have four brand new tires on the Escort, so I shouldn't have to even think about tires for about four years now where it's concerned. Yeah, so now it's time for something else to go out on it- maybe an alternator? A battery perhaps?

After getting the tires installed I got into town a bit early so I went shopping for dress clothes- so in the seemingly unlikely event that I should get an interview, I'll have a few items to choose from anyway. I got a new shirt and tie and I just hope they match okay. See, guys see in 16 color while women see in around 256 colors. Ann wasn't with me so I don't know.

I've also started planning which companies I'm going to visit. I have three or four in mind already and I'm going to find a few more before I go.

I don't mind saying it either; I'm really nervous about this. I haven't really interviewed for a job in over twelve years and I feel like I'm going to totally blow it. The thoughts keep ringing in my head: what if I can't find anything? What if they don't like me? Or the worst scenario of all: What if I get hired and I can't do the job and get fired? Do I crawl back to my current company and beg for my job back? I'm especially nervous since we are now basically committed to making payments on this explorer.

One question to anyone that cares to answer regarding clothing: is it totally neccessary to wear a full suit to an interview, or is slacks (Dockers), a nice shirt and a tie without a jacket okay? I have a suit- one I bought in 1989 and doesn't even come close to fitting me anymore. The last time I wore it was to a funeral and it was so tight I was light-headed by the time it was over.

Anyway...

It was a relatively uneventful night. I ran VIBs tonight (read "six-bees"). That's a fuel economy test that uses a 4.6 Liter Ford V-8. Those are sort of interesting because oil changes are done on the fly with the engine running. We heat the oil so it flows better, plug in a hose to the engine and press a button and POOF! Instant oil change in about thirty seconds. Heh! Eat your heart out Jiffy-Lube!

Better get to bed.
