Organisation
In a fit of something-or-other I've started to re-organise my bookshelves. No longer shall The Marmite Cookbook be sandwiched between my PhD thesis and the Camel Book. It's high time for Gaiman to stop nesting on top of Hawking and Vonnegut. Order will be imposed.
I was going to arrange the shelves by spine colour for a nice rainbow effect, but this failed due to a lack of yellow books. A higher dimensional generalisation of Dewey (and indeed my l-space) would be wonderful for organisation and inter-subject mappings. Damn 3-space.
Arrangement by subject it is then. Useful if rather staid, dull and traditional.
Now to work out the exact tessellation needed to get all these remaining books back into what are already full shelves.
