Weekly weigh in

So, I have started doing the 4.5 flights of stairs up from the bottom level of the parking garage on a daily basis (on work days). Add to that climbing the one flight of stairs in my building 2-3 times a day (on work days), walking 1/2 mile twice a day (every day). My breathing is easier, and I am able to get more speed on the long stair climb, but the quads definitely feel it and my breathing is still pretty ragged after that climb. All of the rest, though? Easy-peasy. I think I may need to find a way to extend the walking a bit more to push myself harder.

This week was a net loss of about 1 pound (.8, to be exact). Of course along with that, I have found that my shirt size has gone down by one (my old 4x's now fit without being tight across the stomach), and my pants size has gone down a bit as well. Even if the weight is not coming off as fast as it once was, I am feeling in much better shape. Just knowing I can walk a mile is a small victory!
