It's like I told Eric & Robert - "DJ" (lame name, whatever, they don't want to call him 'Dick' because kids today are stupid), well he's going to be a teenager so he can have a love interest. His parents will be the cool ones like Lori Laughlin & Rob Estes from "90210". The circus will be in the U.S., I'm going to guess NOT traveling, that way he can be a "carny" while falling in love with a "townie" and it'll be all Romeo & Juliet-like. Plus, there's plenty of interesting stuff from Dick's background with his family and the gypsies to use, if they'd like, to make an interesting show. (Also, the guys making it are the ones in charge of "Smallville" right now which is FAR better than when Gough & Millar were running it).

Lastly? This is probably going to be our only chance of ever seeing Dick Grayson on the screen, now that WB has put the direct-to-DVD Titans movie, "The Judas Contract" on hold indefinitely. And also because Nolanverse won't ever add Robin to that Bat-mythos. And also because WB is restructuring all of their DCU characters, so the feature film "Titans" movie is stalled now, too.

I'm going to remain hopeful, and see it as an AU version of him. Oh, and as far as Chloe in the comics goes? DC decided NOT to add her to the comics. :)

There's only one problem with that. Dick has to be young enough that he can still become Robin, which eliminates the whole "teen love" thing.

Let's say they start him at 14, which is Jenny's age on Gossip Girl. If the show runs 5 seasons, he'll be 19 when he becomes Robin, which is way too old.

AU.

Seriously, you think they're going to consider the age thing? How old was Chris O'Donnell when he was Robin?

And technically, "Smallville" shouldn't make sense, either. You've got Jimmy Olsen the same age as Clark Kent, who is working at the Daily Planet but *isn't* Superman yet.

I'm not saying it's the RIGHT way to go, but I think it is a way that might still work.
