Ok... so my polish class is going well, and for the first time I'm really starting to understand how learning languages becomes easier after you learn the first one. I suppose this is especially true of european languages because of all the latin roots. In any case, aside from how sometimes it pains me to go right from working all day straight to class, I'm liking it... and perhaps this is only mildly caused by Kim and I's judging of all the people in our class, including a skiddish carhart wearing guy we have named "Pan Kapelusz" (Mr. Hat) because he never takes his off.
On the subject of language, I've started to somehow receive the English department's newsletter from MSU in the mail, and I'm really digging the "what are you reading now" page, especially because (attention louis:) Jeff Wray's contribution made me instantaneously revert to my inner English nerd. I think I'll put it next on my reading list as I'm fairly confident I would love anything he recommends. Adding Jeff Wray to my list of things I miss about MSU now.
VA is quickly approaching, and Candi and Taj are driving with me, and we are going to get ARRESTED on the way there --- and I can't wait :)
