Dreams and Salvation

Mar 17, 2008 23:42

It's been a downward spiral from day one.
What's different?
Not your shadowed eyes,
Not your trembling legs,
Not falling down, throwing up -
Come up with something new.

Ride the skyline with imaginary wings,
Skeletal in structure and gorgeous in nature.
Spin into a seraphic daze,
Euphoric sleep-deprivation clouding your eyes,
Tainting your universe,
Gracing your dreams.

What are dreams but salvation?
The world does not fit our expectations.
Love is eternal but life is finite,
The most wondrous lesson to be learned,
And the most likely to be forgotten.
The problem arises when one mixes serendipity with reality.
