#2: Negima - Evangeline/Albireo

#1: For Splitter 2.0: Kaleido Star - Anna/Mia (140 words)

Mia stared up at the ceiling.

"Anna?" she asked the girl sleeping next to her.

"Yeah?" Anna murmured fuzzily back.

"Why do we sleep in the same bed?"

Anna pondered this for a moment.

"Because you told me you were scared of thunder?"

"But there's no thunder now, and you're still here."

Anna yawned.

"Yeah, well, do you want me to leave?"

"No, of course not," Mia replied in a rush, "It's just that... can I hug you?"

"Whuzzat? Sure, just go back to sleep."

With that, Anna threw a long comforting arm around Mia, allowing the girl to snuggle up closer. Mia buried her face into Anna's neck and drew a deep breath.

"You smell nice."

"Mmm, that tickles," Anna said hazily. She turned her head slightly to place a light kiss on Mia's head, then dozed off peacefully.

#2: For TwilightElegy: Negima - Evangeline/Albireo (229 words)

"What's badder, vampires or pirates?" Albireo asked as he reclined against one of the library's many giant armchairs.

Evangeline, stuffed in another one of the armchairs, lifted her head from the book she was reading to stare at him incredulously.

"Was that actually a question?" she sniffed haughtily.

"Well you know, pirates can be pretty bad, with all that pillaging and raping they do," Albireo responded, twiddling his fingers in contemplation.

"Also," he added, a twinkle coming from his shadowed eye, "You seem to have gotten a lot less evil since being imprisoned here."

"You're just not the same in badness," he sighed.

Evangeline growled dangerously.

"I can show you a lot of bad things," she hissed out, "Don't cross me."

Albireo cackled.

"Oh come now, Evangeline, we both have a long time to go, imprisoned here and all. Wouldn't it be much better if we were friends than enemies?"

He grinned disarmingly at Evangeline.

Evangeline tossed her book to the side with a flourish and stood up. She stalked over to Albireo and braced herself on the arms of the sofa, leaning forwards.

"Admit that I'm bad," she whispered into Albireo's ear.

"I dunno," Albireo yawned, "Can you show me bad things?"

A gleam entered Evangeline's eyes, and she flicked out a tongue to lick his ear.

"Definitely," she smirked.

Albireo giggled.

"I like the sound of that."
