Hmm. On the one hand I'm a little dubious about the characterisation here (I can see Neviril loosening up a little, but being kittenish in public? You're right that Aaeru would never intone anything(!), though...). On the other, I absolutely love the image of them tracing ri maajons on one another's skin, and I really wish I'd thought of it.

It's always a pleasure to find good Simoun fic, so I hope you'll write more in future.

Actually, I had an image of them just alone on the beach; the children were there but far, far away and oblivious, but I guess I never bothered to establish that. Bleh train-of-thought-writing at 1:30 in the morning.

I'm working on an idea for an actual Simoun fic right now, so you won't be disappointed in that regard.

It's a bit of a tricky question trying to think of anywhere those two might end up post-series, isn't it?

I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do...

(I have a few fragmentary ideas lying around, but nothing that wants to turn itself into a story as yet. Argh.)

lol, I never got to say how much I love this <3 its just so simple and beautifully written. There isn't enough of Aaeru&Neviril in this world & I am excited that you contributed <3<3<3

Thank you! I'm fiddling around with a more substantial Aaeru/Neviril idea right now, but it doesn't feel right writing it because it isn't able to do justice to the essentially perfect ending the two have already.
