So our football team beat Yale over the weekend, in a very impressive game, final score 55-44. So, now we have passed the number of wins that we had last year and our record is now:
Wins: 3 (2 Ivy)
Losses: 5 (3 Ivy)
Ties: 0
Unfortunately I couldn't be there because I taking my late day for Life. All I have to say, and any other cs 31 students will agree, debugging assembly code is not fun. Although it does get you some pretty interesting infinite loops. There was:
457777 Exception pattern infinite loop.
457 Exception pattern infinite loop with only the seven repeating infinitely.
457575 Exception pattern infinite loop (Dan correct me on this one).
The boring 7 repeating infinite loop.
The also boring 6 repeating infinite loop.
Of course there was also the terrible error messages that you could find before the exceptions were tossed. This being the worst one:
"We can't trust sp"
I mean what is that supposed to tell us? I never trusted the stack pointer anyway. It always seemed to lead to memory issues, but that is another story. I finished my project around 4, but then got to go debug more until about midnight. After Dan, Alex and I were finished though, we went off to the FGS party.
Well, I need to head off to class now, nothing more interesting happening except that I can't really hear out of my left ear at the moment. I need to see health Services this afternoon after class and before my cs 51 exam tonight. Should study for that too...
