Homework
No, not mine this time, Morgan's. She gets a homework assignment every Monday, due on Friday. Historically, it's been a struggle to get even a goodly percentage of it done by Friday, with much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. Today, even before I got home she'd done a substantial portion of it. By bedtime, it was all done.
I'm so proud. I'm also thankful to her doctor and the Adderall. We didn't like the idea of medicating her (I still don't, frankly), but the difference has been amazing. She had a great day on Friday, doing lots of work and even helping another kid with her work (the teacher said she was a little "worker bee"), and another good day today. But she's still her usual creative, energetic self; she's just able to sit down and focus as well.
I was very worried. I'm a lot more sanguine now.
