Stephen Hawking, Lucasian Chair of mathematics, author, and all-around amazing individual, flew a trip upon a commercial version of NASA's "Vomit Comet." A man whose body is so wracked by disease that he can't even speak without high-tech assistance, yet whose mind travels places most of us cannot imagine, experienced free fall today

I was so happy at the thought of him getting to do this that I almost cried when I read the article. I'm actually surprised my trek geek friends haven't mentioned it. I think it's great though. He's an amazing man, and I know that experiencing 0-G has always been a dream of his. It's great he got to do it.
