Day Fourteen - Encounters of the Strange Kind

Summary: After her (surprisingly civil) conversation with Draco, Hermione heads to find Harry to share the details about it. The two chat for a bit and speculate on what it'll be like having them all together like this. Harry also discusses a few details of the bits of the war back home he's seen and Hermione hasn't. Hermione makes plans to continue her observation of Draco, and Harry plays with a snitch. There is a bit of angsting as Harry speculates about what's going on with his parents. There is a bit of awkwardness when Harry verges on confessing that he wants to be with Hermione, but they manage to avoid anything terribly damaging. Eventually, Hermione heads out to see if she can find out what Draco's up to next.
She'd thought she should just look around for him, then thought it might be easier to start at his room. In roaming down the hallway, looking for his room, she saw a couple snogging against the wall, but she was flustered enough not to pay too much attention to who it was - though the dark hair reminded her vaguely of Harry and she ... had a really ... really odd idea.
Shaking her head, she stopped at Harry's door, knocking on it and resisting the urge to lift a hand to shield her eyes from the activity down the hall.
At least it was ... down the hall and not just here. That would have been perturbing.
Instead, she focused rather intently on Harry's door. Though if he wasn't in, she'd have to pass by the couple again to get to the stairs. Brilliant.
