Summary: Fenrir is among those who were unleashed into DauphinMare. On the beach, he encounters Kai. The course of conversation derails Fenrir's original plan of simply attacking Kai, and leads him to considering that the boy is misplaced. Thinking he might curry some favor by bringing over a prisoner, Fenrir ushers Kai through the portal.
Fenrir eased out of the cove, blinking stupidly at the sunlight glinting off the beach. Dull gaze roved toward the split in the earth that reeked of dark magic, and he bent over to sniff at it.
He grinned, and if he'd had a tail, he would have wagged it.
Today, this place was their playground. The dark haired boy that smelled of cold and scale and darkness had said so.
And Fenrir intended to play. Grinning, he started across the beach ...
