Day Eleven - Being Social?

Summary: Mal goes to breakfast sans Jaime and runs into Zoe and Wash. They goad him a little about Jaime, but eventually settle into talk of Christmas and Riverfell. Not at the same time, though. Okay, well kinda, on account of Wash makes jokes. Eventually, the husband and wife team takes off to go shopping and Mal realizes how he's kind of dreading the upcoming shindig.
Mal had decided to go and try this being social thing. Staying in his bunk was so much easier, but at some point he'd have to make it known that no, he hadn't died or anything like that. So he made his way to the cafeteria, sans Jaime, and gave it a go.
It was a little unnerving, but he tucked into his breakfast all the same. Well, if it didn't work out, it weren't as if his bunk was all that far.
