Day Ten - Still Wearing his Face

Summary: Upon his return, still wearing his Caleb disguise, Chase returns to DauphinMare. He encounters Pepper who believes him to be Caleb, which makes Chase wonder if Caleb is here. Upon discovering that he is, he's suddenly in a rush to go find him - only to realize that isn't the best of ideas. Instead, he gives Pepper a brief update on the status of Riverfell before getting directions to Caleb's room from her.
He wanders over to say hi to Caleb, who is surprised to see him - and suspicious of Chase being on the 'good' side. In the course of conversation, Chase inadvertently reveals a few things he'd rather not. Caleb is still suspicious - he doesn't believe that Chase won't age (despite the fangs and story of being a vampire) or that he now rescues damsels in distress, or spies on the bad side for the good side.
When Caleb asks if that was all Chase came to say, Chase figures it was, and heads out.
Chase had adopted the Caleb disguise on his way out of Riverfell, because he didn't want anyone who knew him as Jacob to come chat. Once he crossed back into DauphinMare, he didn't bother to drop it; his mind was still whirling. Mostly because there was a blank spot in his memories.
He remembered going into the cave. He remembered coming out of the cave. But he didn't remember anything inside of it.
He was unmarked, so he didn't think anything physical had happened, but the blank spot was ... it was annoying. It didn't help his mood in the least.
Hands shoved into his pockets, he looked around the familiar landscape curiously before he started into the dorms.
