Day Two - Jake - Settling in
Who: Jake, Oy, Willow
Where: The dorm common room

Summary: Jake invades the common room, settling in to watch some TV when Willow appears. The two talk briefly, and realize they were both at the oasis prior to arriving in DauphinMare. Jake tells her a little about his past, and explains what a ka-tet is, and Oy joins in the conversation a little before he curls up near the TV, and Willow heads out to find Oz.
After a breakfast in the cafeteria (no one seemed to bat an eye at Oy), Jake had explored around. He'd met the mysterious Laurel person, and she'd told him a little bit about the journals and then had gone off on a tangent before wandering off entirely. She was definitely odd - and Jake was fairly certain she was crazy. Not the bad sort, he reasoned, but a 'seen too much' sort of protective crazy.
At least, that was his impression.
Jake settled onto a couch in the common room, unsure really what to do with himself. He wasn't used to having down time. Long before the quest, there had been school, and then ... the quest. The quest to save the writer, to find Roland's tower. The quest he'd died on. The quest that Oy had died on. They were both here though, here and alive, and it was the third time for him (even if the first time had been somewhat paradoxical), but the first time for Oy.
Maybe that's why he was so out of sorts. Maybe he didn't think bumblers were supposed to keep on living.
Reaching down, he ruffled Oy's fur as the bumbler stood guard by his foot. Picking up the remote for the TV, Jake began to idly flip through the channels.
