Day One - Cave Explorations
Who: Chase, Pepper, with a brief appearance by Jake and Oy.
Where: By the cave's entrance, migrating to the dorms.
When: Noonish, Day one

Summary: After meeting Pepper at the caves, Chase takes her exploring inside. He catches sight of something slithering, and is determined to find it. Instead, he finds a hybrid dog-seal sea creature of some sort, which he attacks with his power which alarms Pepper. Using his manipulative ability, he manages to calm her down a little before they finish up exploring without further incident. On the way back to the dorms, they stop to look at the cove portal (which Pepper pitches a rock into). As they walk to the dorm in search of a place to chillax for a while, Pepper asks a few questions about what she saw in the cave. Once in the lounge, they briefly encounter Jake and Oy, both of whom react negatively to Chase before leaving the lounge. Pepper and Chase then watch a little bit of TV and relax.
Chase recalled the locations of the stores he'd wanted to visit for supplies, and he'd made quick work of it. He even managed to go admire the portal for a few minutes, though he didn't linger too long, for fear of arousing suspicions. He'd found that the currency system was fairly standard, and he'd also figured out that the shopkeeps seemed to enjoy bartering. He decided that later, when he wasn't on a schedule, he'd take advantage of that. Or of them.
He'd packed up the food, two flashlights and one big lantern, the water, matches, and a rope into a knapsack which was slung over his shoulder. He'd changed into heavy jeans and boots, as well as a longsleeved shirt. He'd heard caves were cold. He supposed they'd find out.
Leaning against the rock beside the mouth of the first cave he'd come to, he waited for Pepper to show up. He supposed he could have been more gentlemanly and waited nearer the buildings, but he wasn't feeling gentleman like. He was feeling ... restless.
