"Wife?" He really shouldn't be so surprised over that. He was technically a member of the dead after all, so albeit he doesn't look that much older in appearance he was probably into the near triple digits, or close to it, so a wife only made sense. Though as much as his mind prodded the idea of exactly how he kept himself entertained with his family, he really didn't need to know. Whatever floats their boat really.

"So I guess road trips are pretty pointless, or seriously detrimental to your entertainment." He cracked a grin as he continued to follow the other. "Fun with family always has it's moments. I know outings with mine always resulted in one or more of us being grounded." He was going to have to accept the fact to be able to talk about his family without wanting to either hurt something, or show a weak side that he always kept hidden. Part of him just wanted to crumple up and breakdown but that wasn't an option. It would never be an option.

"You know, we could jog, or run...if walking is too slow for you." At least he still managed to take others into consideration. Figuratively speaking.

"Road trips," he ventured, "No we have those..." Granted they were far faster than humanly possible and driven in impossibly fast and expensive cars, but that wasn't the point. "And I'm pretty sure Carlisle wouldn't 'ground' us for anything short of a death."

But then, it wouldn't be so much a grounding as an escape plan, maybe. Slip ups happened from time to time, despite best efforts.

"I can handle it," he added, "Wouldn't want to tucker you out your first day here."

"Yeah, well. When you freeze your sibling..parents tend to look down on that. As do they when you set your siblings hair on fire. Then of course there's the earthquakes and the tornado's.. Elementals. A parents worst nightmare." He chuckled softly. How he felt bad for his parents having to deal with them growing up. Especially he and his twin. They were pure hell as children. They were respectable. But pranksters nonetheless.

"Tucker me out? A simple run doesn't tucker me out." Their meaning of run was a very large difference but he didn't care, it'd be faster than a walk at least. "Besides, it'll get us there quicker?"

He didn't care either way. It was something to do one way or the other. That was what kept him inclined to go. "So, what are the other...inhabitants of this little..place like?"

"We have all sorts," he admitted, "Those that can fight, those who can heal, those who don't seem able to do anything but are here for other people."

He supposed that included personalities, though, and he shrugged slightly.

"Most people are pretty nice," he ventured, "There's the occasional asshole or ego to deal with ... What else? Oh, there's a lot of sex."

Well, that was a point of interest, wasn't it? How often had he walked into the lounge only to turn right back around due to activities on The Couch? Or a random hallway, or ... well.

"A lot," he added as if to emphasize.

If Ory's brow could have hiked clear into his skull it would have. "Sounds..like giant brothel." He laughed a bit before realizing how that might have made only the women of this place sound. Best if he corrected that. "Okay, maybe not a brothel. But sounds like those who would normally have a hard time getting laid, would succeed here." So maybe that wasn't much better, but why not. It seemed less harsh at least.

He needed to get back to his original question before he thought up of a whole new line of inquiries. "Fight. Healers. Support. Sounds like they got the main essentials for battle. Smart choice. What about defense?" How this started to sound like a strategic plan he didn't know but he might as well find out the status of what could save their asses when need be. Offense is only half the battle. You're offense is only as good as your defense. At least this much he's learned through history books and the like.

Emmett snorted slightly. Yeah, that was fair enough; people who would normally have had issues in the bed department certainly didn't here. It did seem fair to warn people, though; most got hit with it their first day out. An amused noise slid from the back of his throat as he watched an idle thought pass by, though he was quick to brush it away; there had been a legitimate question in there.

"We have defenders," he offered, "Those capable of defending more than themselves are often asked to help out."

Again the grin, flashed with a side of ego, would come out, despite his not having helped in the last task.

Oryon just simply nodded. At least now he knew this place had people for defense. That was a plus. His fingers would curl and relax as he generated a ball of water. Tossing it slightly into the air, only to stabilize it there. Hues grew more vibrant in color as the hydrogen grew to ice, once solid he allowed it to fall back from its stasis; and land in the palm of his hand.

There was no point behind the ball of ice, just something to do. Though, the last time he had done something like this, he ended up making his own personal snow-cone. All he had to do was crush the ball of ice into a cup or something, add some flavored food dye, and ta-da, instant dessert. With a small smirk he tossed the ball into the air again before catching it. Part of him wanted to call forth some water to freeze it in the form of a bat, but that last time he had done that it didn't work out so well. Of course that reminded him of one time he and his brother attempted this and at the last second, Ory turned the ball of ice back into a ball of water as Dagen were about to hit it. A good laugh all around was had until Dagen damn near chased him down with a tornado.

He rolled the ball along his palm and fingertips as they kept pace, tempted to flatten the ball out into a frisbee, though he'd shake it off. The ice ball was good enough for now at least. "So, I'm guessing your sheer strength comes in hand, on both aspects?" It wasn't so much a question, more of a, well he wasn't really sure where he was going with that.

“Well yeah,” he agreed, “Plus it’s awesome for beating my brothers in a fair fight.”

Or a not so fair fight; Emmett had a penchant for oh so subtly evening his odds. He frowned as he thought on that, though; his track record against Jasper was getting a little shady. The younger vamp was going to have to step it up again, even though he’d ‘won’ last time; he still wasn’t aware his brother had let him win and chalked it up to talent and skill.

“So, ah, those’re the mountains,” he ventured, gesturing vaguely, “Bears, mountain lions, deer, that kind of thing. And … well, trees.”

Some trees, anyways; Emmett had spent a good portion of the time after Chaos broke pushing some down just because he could again. Being without his strength? Had nearly killed him.

"Wildlife. Forestry. Got it." Sure he was a supporter of both, not quite his typical scenery. Was he a city boy? No, but he wasn't a tree-hugger either. When it came to his family's sibling rivalry, it was dead even. Not so much a rivalry more like training sessions as they called it. Those sessions almost always ended in a tie, or him playing dirty to etch out the win.

He never said he was a fair fighter. Then again he'd imagine this Chaos side wasn't one for playing fair either. He'd imagine neither was Order but that was a thought that held little dignity in the back of his mind.

His little ball of ice was losing its entertainment value. Tossing the ball into the air one final time he returned it to his liquid form. As the newly reformed water began to fall back towards the ground he caught it in his mouth. At least if he ever found himself on a deserted island he'd never lost a constant source of water. Swishing it around for a second he tipped his head off to the side to spit it out.

"So we've hit the beach, now the mountains, either you're planning on showing me the scenery to get into my pants, or you just have an knack for the environment." He flashed a grin to his near-twin, before doing one of those little turn around in a circle things to draw in the full view of the humongous mounds of land.

Brows raised, Emmett glanced to Oryon with an amused expression. Well, that'd be a lot like screwing himself, wouldn't it, if he had that intent.

"Or," he ventured, "Third option; this part of the bubble has the scenery. Over there, there's just ... dorms and stores and ... you know, boring stuff."

He waved a hand dismissively. He'd get to that bit, eventually. But really, who wanted to go shopping? Well. Aside from Edward. And maybe Alice. And all right, even Jasper had been known to ... but that wasn't the point.

A chortle just short of a snort left his throat. He supposed shopping wasn't quite his idea of fun, though he'd probably have to do it eventually. If that were the case then he better stick with seeing the scenery. It wasn't that bad, he guessed. "Alright then. So what's next?" Ory tipped his head a bit before rolling his neck to coax a crack from the bones.

Perhaps later down his time here he could actually have fun with knowing where the beach was located. Being that he could have his way with water, and since there was apparently an abundance of sex; maybe he'd just lurk somewhere until a pair of unsuspecting consenting lovers decided to do the cliche thing, wouldn't it be a surprise if a tidal wave came right at them.

With the mere thought of doing that, he let out a laugh. Normally he wasn't this evil, nor this much of a prankster; there had to be something within this bubble. Or maybe he was just finally realizing who he really was on the inside. Either way the desire to double over laughing was growing as he continued to think of all the things he could do. Not that he'd really ever follow through with them...or would he?

Emmett led Ory out through the orchard, marching past the mango tree with a slight smirk though not remarking on the lone growth. Quiet footfalls led them out just behind Tony's lab, which Emmett gestured to vaguely.

"That's some guys .. lab thing," he ventured, "I dunno what it's all about or why he gets his own building but no one ever goes in for the most part except him."

He gazed quizzically to the building a moment before shaking his head and moving on, past the town hall and the cemetery sitting in its shadow, pointing it out but saying little before he began to move past the dorms as well.

A brow quirked with amusement as he made mention of the lab...thing. "Lab. Got it." Not that he would ever really need anything from a lab. He wasn't much of one for science and shit related to it. Regardless he still made a note of where it was located.

He obviously knew the Town Hall, but the cemetery he seriously could have done without, seeing as how at the current moment his parents, brother, and twin were laying in pools of their own blood back home. Sadness and sorrow filled blue eyes as they passed the dorms.

He did his best to keep his eyes from following where Emmett had pointed out as they walked on, but he failed in doing so. A sharp unwanted inhale occurred as he tried to keep to his senses. By doing so he quickly increased the pace of his walk. He wouldn't slow again until they were past the dorms.

"Business district," he offered, gesturing to the rows of buildings, "They've got all kinds of things; any kind of store you can imagine - one even has everything. And restaurants, and I may have seen an arcade at some point but don't quote me on that."

The truth was, it always seemed to be changing, depending on who was there. There were a few staples; a couple of the restaurants, a lingerie store, the joke shop, and so on and so forth. But for the most part, the area seemed malleable to the residents, as did much of the rest of the bubble.

He did wonder a bit at Ory's silence, but it wasn't any of his damn business and really, he could get Ed to tell him later if he pressed hard enough.

"I'll keep that in mind." All sorts of humor in Oryon's tone had all but disintegrated. Any enthusiasm that he had shown and exerted earlier were all but gone. Granted if he pushed the images of blood and gore from his mind he could probably find that carefree version of himself easily. He just had to keep reminding himself that there was a chance he could prevent the murder of his family members.

Plus he had to think positive that Ari was still out there. Maybe it all just sunk in now after seeing the cemetery. Perhaps his previous fun-loving nature was just a state of shock. Shock always wore off when you least expected it to. At least he wasn't on the verge of mass hysterics. That could result in himself, or others being hurt. Not that he'd mean it or anything.

He needed to regain his focus before he lost it completely. Those emotions of sadness and sorrow needed to be re-buried before it would become to late to shut them off. Only bad part was, he could feel himself slipping deeper and deeper into grief.

"And that's about it," he ventured, "I mean, we have a couple of portals, but that aside, you've seen it all."

He paused, gazing to Oryon curiously. He looked upset, and Emmett had never been one who dealt with emotion well. Usually his default MO was to run and hide.

"Ah .. you all right over there?" he ventured lamely, mildly uncomfortable.

Really, he was the wrong brother for this; Edward was more the 'seek out people mourning on the dock' type.
