Thanksgiving

The last few years (since marriage I guess, heh) I've been joining Pete and his family for their Thanksgiving celebration. Every year his Uncle Ron, a hoity toity lawyer guy, (kidding) hosts it at his club, the 'members only, swanky' (Pete's description) Detroit Athletic Club. It's a really beautiful place with a lot of interesting history and architecture, located downtown in my favorite city, Detroit. http://www.thedac.com/public/

There are always at least 20 friends and family there, and the last 2 years Nancy and my brother, David, have joined us as well. This year was extra fun because it was Nicholas's first time ever. He was in fine form all day, charming every one from family to staff. :)

The food is always fantastic, from the dozens of hors d'oeuvres, to the traditional turkey and fixins, all laid out in a fancy shmancy buffet style. And omg, the desserts! I could eat the creme brulee and chocolate everything til I burst, lol. The only down side is no leftovers to enjoy the next day.

Here are a few pics from the celebration:

There were 24 plus Nicholas this year in our party

The best part of Thanksgiving is getting home and getting out of those fancy duds!
