Today I joined my alma mater's marching band in the 4th of July parade, and along the route (I don't remember which street it was on) there was a house celebrating gay pride.
It had a huge rainbow flag, and on a second story balcony was a group of people watching the parade, including two shirtless guys hugging each other.
Epic win, y'all! I applaud them for standing up for themselves in this highly... conservative area. I mean, if two or three floats in the parade were for various LDS wards, kudos to them for decorating their house during Gay Pride Month. I mean, Skyline's had "Tolerance Week" (formerly Diversity Week, changed prolly because food booths are token symbols of culture), and they've mentioned the handicapped and how using the word 'retarded' as a synonym for stupid is insensitive, yet many still use the word 'gay' to mean such.
Also, accidentally pushed post before I was finishing... so yeah. But yes, that made my day. :D
