This is where I do an update and totally try to cram days worth of crap into one little post. *sigh* I need to stop being such a lazy cow and just update every day like I used to.
ANYWAY.
So I've been catching up on shows.
So I downloaded the second season of Justice League Unlimited. I had bought two of the first season DVDs and enjoyed them, so I decided to look around and see if there were any more since WB is in no hurry it seems to put any of the others out on DVD. I have enjoyed them all and some of the guest voice cast are entertaining. George Eads plays Captain Atom for the first ep of season one, but unfortunately George couldn't do the rest of the seasons. Anyway, Nathon Fillion does a great job of doing the cowboy hero Vigilante. And always, Batman is the shit. The animated version is 10,000 times better than the comic version. I love me some Bruce, and Michael Rosenbaum's Flash is also tons of fun. The second season of JLU is very dark. I really want the earlier Justice League eps. I have the Justice League Collection which has the Origin movie, Paradise Lost, and Justice on Trial DVDs. I hate how they put cartoons out on these little out of order disks with only like 3 episodes or whatever. So annoying. Basically, watching these is just making me want to buy the Batman Animated Series season sets.
Then I missed House last tuesday so I had to catch up on it.
That opening scene. Since when does Wilson just show up to give House a ride to work? He so spent the night there. *snicker* Anyway, the whole HIV scare with Cameron was just boring to me, although it was nice to see her scrubbed and fresh faced. The sex with Chase was OMG! At least it wasn't Wilson. And poor Chase is going to be all confused now. AW! House was just so out of line, and I like that Stacy caught him on it at the end. I hope that this teaches him a lesson, but you know it won't. He keeps alienating everyone around him. I wonder how long it'll be before he alienates Wilson. Bet you he does a lot more to patch that up than he'll ever do for Stacy.
I also downloaded the latest Stargate: Atlantis. I bought the first season and really enjoyed all the extras and commentary. David was a little quiet in his scenes, but then again, it's hard to get a word in between Martin Wood and Martin Gero. Gero needs to shut up. Anyway, one of the commentaries I enjoyed most was Rachel and Torri's. I didn't expect to, but they were sweet and talking like old friends hanging out watching movies or something. They alluded to the cast's private life more than any others so that was kind of interesting. All in all, fun and I recommend buying it if you haven't already. But back to the new season 2 ep.
Rodney fighting! Rodney's cracked out conversation with Liz! EEEEE! David was working it. Man I totally thought he must have snorted something before the scene. The way he was all red and sweaty. I mean the sweaty is easy, someone just spritzes you before the shot, but the red and the babble and the ticks and the walking walking walking is all Hewlett. I know he's great and then he does something that amazes me all over again. (Way better than Shank's drugged out, and those are some of my favorite SG-1 eps.) I love love love that John totally picked out that pretty girl was a plant and called them on it. I love it when they show that John is smart! Plus, setting up the hive ships against each other? So awesome. I disliked how Ford got the backseat this ep, considering how important he was to the earlier ep. I know that they had a lot to do, and that they had to come up with some way to get them out of the mess from the previous ep, but Ford's bits just came off a little hollow to me, and Rainbow deserves better. Of course, he's deserved better from the beginning and the PTB keep letting him down, I think. The Rodney/Carson was strong in this ep. And as much as I adore the pairing, I think this ep struck me as a stronger friendship story than anything slashy. Mostly because Rodney is just doing his damnedest to save John. All and all good, and I can't wait for more new episodes.
I totally missed CSI and Numb3rs this week because I assumed that they'd be reruns or that they'd be pre-empted for holiday crap. *Is very unhappy.*
I promised some Fall Out Boy a while back. These guys have the best song titles.
bluestarmuse requested "Sugar, We Are Going Down" and "Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song" neither of which are on the albums I have unfortunately. Sorry Blue. But if someone can help her (and me) out that would be cool.
