Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. Etc.
I included cartoon and comic characters, just to make it more cracktastic. And I alphabatized by first name only because I had several people with the same last name and who really wants to see the canon pairing of Sarah and Walt Bannerman? Not me.

James has always had a thing for guys in uniform. A quick look around the bar, and he knows who he's going to be spending the night with. The guy isn't wearing a uniform, but it's written all over the set of his shoulders when another guy gets tough. Words are exchanged, fists fly, and the bouncer breaks it up. James slides over and offers his expertise with a bloody nose. The grin he recieves is nice, but the eyes are dark and full of mystery. It makes him think too much about Greg, so he does his best not to look directly into the hazel orbs again. The guy doesn't seem to mind when he offers James a ride home. He never bothers to ask about the ring around James' finger either. Everyone knows how to play this game, and after all, it's only for one night.

Wrong, wrong, wrong... maybe the reason Kavanaugh is such an asshole is because Johnny forsaw his death in Atlantis? Who knows?
