She narrowed her eyes and the head snapped off the crossbow bolt -- then a careless gesture of her free hand made the crossbow itself snap in two just above the stock.

"Really, Savannah, is that all you can do?" she asked, constricting her Force-grip a little more tightly around Savannah's windpipe. She didn't plan to choke her to death, at least not yet, but it was a nice technique to start off with.

She wasn't going to die like this, she wasn't. She wasn't going to let Tahiri choke her to death.
She shook her head, no it wasn't all she could do but lack of breathing made it hard to respond. She called up another spell and this time let loose with an ice spell at Tahiri.
