Okay. I am prepared to admit that I am clueless, our of the loop, or just plain stupid. Someone enlighten me?

I know that LJ has recently done and/or talked about doing something incredibly dumb, something that half of my friends list is outraged at. I know this "something" involves fandom.

This is all I know- someone help me please?

It's kind of a long story...basically, LJ/6A suspended the accounts of two major fanartists in the HP fandom, without warning, claiming that certain pieces of their art that they posted (one in her locked journal, one in a community) violated the Terms of Service, saying that their art depicted underage sex - I'm not sure if the big to-do is about pedophilia or kiddy porn, but either way they haven't got a leg to stand on, because the artists have stated that the characters in their art do not look underage, nor were they intended to. Now, LJ/6A did this same sort of thing back in May, deleting users without warning, but since then they've changed the ToS, and they said they wouldn't be doing this sort of thing anymore. They've also changed it so that when you type a suspended user's username, you no longer see it as a link with a strikethrough, but rather as a simple bolded name: elaboration, for example, who is one of the ToSsed artists. The other big thing that people are pissed about is the timing - the bunch of deletions back in May was
