snowy snowy night
I went for a walk in the woods last night, with my boy. It was so incredibly magical, snow falling amongst the trees and this amazing peach color to the clouded sky, even though it was past midnight. *smiles*
Also, went to the Library and picked up books for additional reading for my Western Civ II/Tudor-Stuart Independent Study- SO so many pretty books..... Finaly managed to pick only a few essentials...and then had to call Mike to help me carry my stack of "essentials" back in the snow...
But they're so exciting- An overview of the Kings and Queens of England, Trevelyn's History of England, a biography of Catharine of Aragon, a slim volume on Lady Jane Grey, a Book on Mary Tudor, and one on Elizabeth entitled "Dissing Elizabeth" which examines some of the "darker" aspects of her reign, and then a book each on Charles I and Charles II.
So between those, my political books taht I've begun reading, Lorna Doone and Atlas Shrugged, not to mention the other books around the room, I think I'm pretty solid on reading material for the next little while. :)
