today came in this head. that had soaked in nailpolish remover a tad to long
(((note this was a accident done by the owner people nothing here was done on purpose)))
i will be updating this head on progress as many as you can see why a head is moist with nail polish remover if it accident got soaked in it for long periods the head can become soft dont leave the head like that
carefully grab the head and place in water run water and head in a clear shoe box holder or something you dont plan to use for anything else in it leave it their maybe 30 mintutes-1day this is the purge the chemicals you need to change the water every 30 mintutes
after than let it sit and air dry and find someone to send it to as soon as possible the longer acetons and stains stay on a doll the more the stain will seep and leach into the resin

-----------------------------my helpful info-------------------------
now guys these are the products i use for a face up remover
i go for my rubbing achol low grade then high grade it needs to be a water mix
mr clean sponges help tons clean up stuff you can actully cut it up in cudes and dip it into the achold to help more just dont drench them to much and yes the do crumble when your using them i sugest 2-3 name brand if possible
remember mr clean sponges can take off face ups nail polish and car paints it is like sand paper you need to watch out at times when you use this on certian dolls espeially dark resin and any doll body blush or just dirty you think needs to be clean cause it can take off majority of sealers and leave you with a bald blushless doll
now for harder cases with paint i know allot of people complain how much hell it is to take off a bobobie face up let me give you a suggestion first you will need a
clear or pink tone non-acetone nail polish remover do not use acetone if you never used it before remember just because it works for some people doesnt mean it works for everyone.
okay take a bit of the mr clean sponge place some of the non-acetone nailpolish remover on and scrub since it does act like sandpaper i try to do circles use the mr clean sponge as needed and also dip the head in water after each one of these things and let it dry you dont need chemicals jacking up a face up
now sandpaper normally i try to find grades like 1500 or up emory carries some of it sometimes but if you cant get a hold of it then we go raid hardware stores
((((ALWAYS SAND IN CIRCLES WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF PRESURE))
we need automative paper fine grit we need the kind we can use wet normally most sanders especially first timers use the mask do it outside use gloves in case yes resin at the most freshest level smells it can reack havock on your lungs and make you cough up crap trust me i know from experince
when i use sand paper i do a grade test you need to apply the same amount of consitent pressure throughout the sanding process or not your doll can get dents and other things to widened and screwed up. send it to a professional if your not bold enough.
as you can see im doing section test where the doll has a chip that came from the previous owner i want to see how far the acetone stained the resin the depth the. now test sections have to be done everywhere sad to say cause not all parts will be stain proof just cause you dont see it in the place your working at. its like skin dyes stains dark paints and leech into the resin which is why we msc and try to be careful with them or find someone we can trust to let fix them.
i know tons of people with trust issues i had someone drive to my town so i could fix their doll and sit with me in person and get the ideas of what they wanted to see what they werent looking for. guys customizers arent all jerks look in their feedback their prior works were their customers happy was it in a timely fashion if it wasnt did they keep updated with communication. how did the customizer ask. some customizers try to answer emails every second of the day as normally they are doing more than one project. which means at times you forget to email someone back this doesnt mean to freak out if they dont contact you in a hour.
okay moving on though
if we are wet sanding we need water we will change this water everytime it gets a bit murky or unseeable or creeps us out do not toss this water down the sink into plants pour it on conrete or gravel areas or dead spots in your yard guys its resin you dont want resin in your water to drink so dont pour it down the sink and tolite and bathtub
also with sand paper when the doll is dry and complete we want to sand it with a fineeeeeee sand paper i prefer buying this soft sponge core nail fixers cost like 2 dollars normally we go from step one to 3 i dont use the polish cause the head will be shiny like plastice and mcs and blushing will be hell later on and it looks like you glossed
doll dr work~ emergency resin head fixing will update
