Today, I was looking at the shops, and there was a really great carved mask. It was funny, and it could also be scary, and I thought it would be nice if I could sneak up on people. So I bought the mask, and it cost me... Well, most of what I had. But after I brought it back to my room, it broke. And when I took it back to the guy who sold it to me

Hello, I would like to buy some clothes.

You don't say.
[She leans an elbow on the counter, resting her chin in her hand as she settles more comfortably in her chair.]
Feel free to look around. Let me know if you have any questions.

I would like a large cake. With blue icing, and... 27 candles. And, they need to glow in the dark. And I need it now, because I'm on my way to a party, and they'll be needing it.

[She keeps her voice calm and level, despite her utter disbelief.]
Uh huh. Then I suggest you try the bakery.

I need a cake. And if I don't get one right now, then... I will burn this place to the ground. Now, you try to find a way to help me, the needy customer. It's your job. That's what you do when you have a business.

Did you just threaten to burn down my shop?

Yes, I did. I am an unhappy, dissatisfied customer who requires your attention. I'm looking for something that I need, and it's your job to get it to me. I am the customer, and I am important. Now that you know that, what do you do?

She vaulted over the counter, standing in front of him with her arms crossed, still with that sharp, dangerous smile.]
No, you're a fucking nutcase. Or a moron, one. This is a clothing store; if you want cake, go somewhere else.
[She tilted her head.]
But threatening to set fire to a shop in the middle of a crowded market...that's rather serious, given the possible harm that could come to all the customers you claim are so important. And something I think the Commander of the Watch would be very interested in knowing.

Okay... First of all, you're never supposed to insult the customer. That's very rude, and they might find it offensive if you do that. I am a disgruntled customer who is in need of something, and I need your help. What do you do in that situation?
And it's not a problem, because the Commander of the Watch isn't here. So no worries there.

[Bastet hooks her fingers in the front of his coat, dragging him towards the door. Once it's open, she plants a foot on his ass and shoves him outside.]

OW Jeez...!
[Once outside he turns, frustrated and obviously unhappy.]
What is wrong with you?! That's- You can't do this! I'm a customer, and... you're supposed to be nice to me, and...
[Lets out a quick sigh.]
So... This was a test. I was testing you to make sure you would treat the customer right, and you failed. You failed it and there is no going back. No tagbacks. Just... How could you do this?
