Good afternoon, all.
Man I'm sleepy.
I just got home yesterday afternoon from the hospital.
I've been in there since Tuesday night.
Monday, I went to the ER with a severe migraine.
It was one of those where you're puking your hear hurts so bad.
You can't keep your eyes open because of the pain, and you can't close them because you get dizzy and puke some more.
It was horrible.
They gave me a couple shots of things that didn't help and sent me on my way.
I went through that night and all of the next day in that kind of pain.
Tuesday night, I couldn't stand it anymore, I had Mom drive me back out to the ER.
They gave me a shot of something stronger, and admitted me to the hospital.
And that's where I stayed, until Friday at about 3pm.
I have never, in my life, had a headache this bad.
Never.
I've had a ton of headaches, in fact I have one almost every day at some point, but never, ever like this.
I thought my head was going to explode at one point, and cave in at another.
It was crazy.
They kept me on good headache meds for one day, then put me on more that worked a little, or not at all.
But when you tell them they don't work, they say, we'll try them again just to make sure, and that's another 6 hours I have to go in pain.
It fucking blew.
The nurses, bless them, were soooo good and kind to me.
They took very good care of me, even though the doctors left much to be desired.
I wasn't sure how to thank the nurses, so I'm putting the whole floor nursing staff in for a "Pat on the Back" award.
It's this committee at the hospital designed to recognize good deeds or accomplishments, and to boost hospital employee morale.
I actually think it's a good thing, being the personal recipient of 2 such awards, and then was honored as a whole with my file room peers 2 more times.
So it's pretty nice.
Get 4 and you get 4 hours of AA.
That's free time off.
It's worth it, trust me :)
Funny what people are willing to do when they know they have something to gain from doing it, hehe.
Yay L I F E.
Not that I'm saying that's why these people do what they do.
No.
Not by any means.
A lot of them are just wonderful people, doing the job the think they're trained to do.
And they enjoy it.
A lot of them, not all, but most of them.
I'm just glad to be home.
I was such a good patient, I do believe.
I lost a couple pounds during the process.
Of course, I didn't eat for like, 5 days, but they kept a constant IV going.
I started pissing like a race horse the second day, and never stopped.
That's a good thing, but I didn't do that for like, a day and a half.
It was really starting to get worrisome.
NOW, I'm feeling much better.
Just tired and weak.
I think I'm going back out on the deck to get some sunshine.
I've been inside far too long.
I'll write more when I have more to write.
I love you all.
