Wrong. Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids who can read.
That was pretty much my premise for this week's edition in the school newspaper.

I read a study accompanied with an article online dealing with the intelligence of today's American youth. I was surprised by the results, but they made complete sense. The schools are not always to blame.

ok, i get what you mean cesar. i may have worded that wrong. i know we are 50th in SATs and it's also due to the fact that there are states that do not take the SAT at all (Idaho or Iowa only takes the ACT, if i'm not mistaken). true, we may not be 50th in education, but when all those statistics are put together (some unfortunately compiling SAT scores), we do get rendered as the dumb ones, since it's compiled by state NOT region. and look at the region (specifically people) that are in it. that truly makes a difference.

it's a shame that the standardized test of that nature is still determining out intelligence. i despised the SAT, not necessarily because i did not perform well on it, but because i didn't feel it tested my true intelligence. are the schools to blame or are we? schools these days are still and have always had a tough time forming a logical strategies. to teach by...from the book or by the test?

and yeah, collins hill is definitely doing something right to have us be a star school. and yes, georgia's full of dumb po'dunk people, from what i've seen.

* see, i was trying to target my article from a prior intelligence point of view, and not so much education. like i said, sometimes, there's only so much a school (or schools can do). to do well in school, one needs to posses a certain fortitude in the intelligence department as well.
